Farm management software for field crops and orchards

Planva is farm management software built as two platforms, one for field crops and one for orchards.

On the field crops side, the register, rotation, agroplans, machine tasks and telemetry all hang off the same field record.

Your data stays in-country or on your own servers.

The question that decides this usually comes after harvest. What did we plan on this field, which machine went in, and what actually happened? If Climate FieldView, Cropwise, OneSoil, EOSDA, GeoPard or Agremo are on your shortlist, put that same question to each of them. A feature list won't answer it. A test on your own fields will.

What the field crops platform covers

JobIn Planva
Field registerField catalogues and groups, boundaries, areas and cadastral numbers. Import from Shapefile and KML, export to KML and SHP.
Crop rotationCrop, variety, sowing and harvest dates and yield by season. The rotation map prints to PDF or JPEG with an area summary.
AgroplansWork plans as a list, a map or a calendar, with XLSX export. Seed, fertiliser and crop protection rates sit next to the actual figures.
Machine tasksMachine, driver, equipment, fields and the linked agroplan in one task, with full, net and confirmed area.
TelemetryA machinery map with tracks, refills and drains from fuel level sensors, and RFID to identify the operator.
AlarmsFive rules with thresholds: lost connection, speeding, work outside the field, task not started and behind plan.
ReportsDispatcher reconciliation between machine tasks and agro-operations, an agronomist report by season, and a driver report by RFID interval.

There is more on machinery tracking, plan versus actual and field mapping and task scheduling.

Orchards have their own platform

An orchard is not a big field with trees on it. The work runs by crew and by row, so it gets its own platform instead of extra screens. Planva for orchards goes down to the row and runs shift plans, work orders, QR harvest labels, containers and the weighing station.

Who works in it

  • Agronomists

Field history, agroplans, reference catalogues and inspection reports.

  • Dispatchers

Machine tasks, tracks, alarms and the reconciliation report.

  • Machine operators

Their own tasks and the machinery map.

  • Engineers

Machine cards, trackers and fuel sensor calibration, refills and drains, and the driver report.

  • Accountants

Planned and actual materials, XLSX exports and an operation accounting code to reconcile with your accounting system.

  • Managers

The season in plan and actual, by field and by operation.

Deployment, pilot and pricing

You choose a cloud in your country by subscription, or your own servers with a perpetual licence. A pilot runs for 2 to 4 weeks on your fields and machinery, and launch follows with training and support. Agronomists are on the support team, 24/7. Pricing depends on acreage, modules, deployment model and implementation scope, and is fixed in the proposal and contract.

Company data for 2026: 12,600 ha under Planva, 370+ machines and 5 farming companies. If you are leaving another system, read how a move to Planva works.

Who should not buy

If a simple spreadsheet works and nobody loses time passing work along, keep it. If all you want is imagery for a few fields, this is the wrong tool. And much of the value sits in machine tasks and telemetry, so a farm with no trackers and no plan to fit them would use a small part of what it bought.

Before you shortlist

Planva does. It keeps the field register, crop rotation, agroplans, machine tasks and telemetry on the same fields, so plan and actual sit side by side.

Both, as two separate platforms. The field crops platform covers fields, agroplans and machinery. The orchard platform covers the orchard down to the row, crews, harvest labels and weighing.

Yes. The Planva team does the move and it is included in the contract. The timeline depends on your exports and is agreed before signing.
